Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking interns for the Knowledge Assist team to build AI for the contact center. You’ll work with top researchers and engineers to apply novel techniques at scale, developing KA solutions and models.

Applicants should be pursuing a BS/MS in CS/AI, be proficient in Python, and familiar with PyTorch or TensorFlow, with a solid ML foundation and experience handling large datasets. Office-based roles in North America.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, ML or related field.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with at least one deep learning framework.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and generative modeling.
  • Ability to design and analyze experiments involving large-scale datasets.
  • Work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy the company’s KA solutions and proprietary models.
  • Focus on practical AI challenges such as improving reasoning, and evaluation in real-world scenarios.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end and back-end software engineers to integrate KA solutions into the company’s customer solutions.
  • Lead initiatives to scale AI systems for production environments, ensuring performance and reliability across use cases.
  • Contribute to solving cutting-edge problems in AI and help define the future roadmap for the company’s KA.
  • Innovate and research ways to improve security, cost-efficiency, and reliability of AI systems.

About the role:

At the company, the Knowledge Assist (KA) team develops AI solutions for the contact center industry, focusing on improving agent productivity by providing access to the right knowledge at the right time.

Our current projects:
  • Generative Knowledge Assist (GenKA): Real-time, context-aware suggestions for contact center agents, integrating with multiple knowledge bases to streamline information retrieval, reduce agent effort, and ensure accurate responses.
  • Knowledge Search (KS): A search experience tailored for contact center agents. Built on the GenKA stack, it aims to evolve into an enterprise search solution beyond contact centers.
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG): A critical project underpinning GenKA, KS, and VA, enabling efficient retrieval of relevant knowledge content and generating read-to-use agent responses grounded in knowledge.

Compensation for this position includes a base salary, equity, and a variety of benefits.
