Laurentian University is seeking a MIRI Coordinator to ensure the operations of the Maamwizing Indigenous Research Institute, coordinating program planning, implementation and evaluation with faculty, graduate students and Indigenous communities in the region.

Reporting to the Co-Directors of the Maamwizing Indigenous Research Institute (MIRI), the MIRI Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the operations of a thriving MIRI Centre and coordinating the planning, implementation and evaluation of MIRI programs and services aimed to advance Indigenous research excellence at Laurentian. Working closely with faculty members, graduate students and Indigenous communities in the region, the MIRI Coordinator will support expanding research partnerships, increasing knowledge mobilization activities and growing Indigenous research capacity.

The official University hours of operation shall be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, during, and including, the months from September to April, and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m Monday through Friday during and including May to August., amounting to thirty-three and three-quarter (33.75) hours per week.
