West Fraser is recruiting for a Production Worker near Rocky Mountain House, AB. You will join a crew in a fast-paced mill environment, operating equipment to produce LVL and handle veneer throughout the process.

The role requires rotating shifts, 40-44 hour weeks, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Training and teamwork are emphasized to ensure safety and success.

Qualifications

• A Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• The desire to learn, grow and succeed.
• Industrial experience and post-secondary education would be considered an asset.

Responsabilités

• Operating specialized equipment used to produce wood veneer from logs for the manufacture of laminated veneer lumber (LVL)
• Sorting, drying, and pressing veneer as part of the LVL manufacturing process
• Operating forklift trucks and other mill equipment
• Safely handling logs, veneer, and finished LVL products
• Monitoring equipment and processes and safely responding when the process is interrupted
• Performing light maintenance and clean-up duties
• Following all safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment
