About this team

The Security, Architecture, Data Security & Engineering (SADE) organization in Cybersecurity is a multidisciplinary security team focused on protecting lululemon’s digital ecosystem through proactive architecture, data protection, and engineering enablement. We deliver scalable, resilient, and integrated security capabilities that enable secure innovation across lululemon’s technology landscape.

Core responsibilities

As a Staff Security Engineer, you’ll apply advanced, in-depth and/or broad technical expertise; recognized as a top engineering resource within the organization and shapes technical direction. You’ll spend a significant amount of your time planning the evolution of cybersecurity capabilities and systems guiding the organizations roadmap year‑to‑year. Staff Engineers work to elevate our engineering community by designing/introducing tools and systems that accelerate and support our engineering best practices.

  • Recognized as a key cybersecurity subject matter expert; lead research, configurations, and drive innovation in security engineering
  • Implement enterprise‑grade security solutions across platforms with Architecture teams
  • Lead resolution of multi‑faceted cybersecurity challenges with minimal guidance
  • Partner with product owners and leaders to shape the security direction of complex projects
  • Develop and communicate security recommendations
  • Mentor engineering teams and influence organizational cybersecurity maturity
Qualifications
  • 8+ years' experience in Cyber security engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline.
  • Broad and specialized knowledge across multiple cybersecurity domains
  • Deep expertise in enterprise‑scale security engineering and solution design
  • Ability to lead complex initiatives and collaborate with architecture teams
  • Strategic thinking around emerging threats and technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills (data modelling skills would be an asset).
  • Ability to create detailed, high quality, design deliverables.
  • Retail experience is a plus. (Fashion retail experience would be ideal)

Compensation and benefits package

$148,000 - $194,300 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
