Lubrication Maintenance Technician
The ideal candidate will be responsible to execute all divisions of the of lubrication program within specific areas of the refinery. Responsibilities include Route based lubrication responsibilities, precision greasing using ultrasound grease caddy, ensuring proper oil level within constant level oilers & equipment reservoirs, ensuring required lubricants for area are accessible and stored properly, and initial/minor troubleshooting and reporting of lubrication related issues, as well as identifying abnormal equipment operating conditions. Working alongside other trades and operators when required. Developing TSA's, SWP's, performing Hazard Assessments and assisting with SOP creation
What you’ll do:
Perform routine-based lubrication condition inspections of operating equipment.
Non-equipment related lubrication tasks (stocking refinery lubricants, lubricant related install and cleanup).
Perform lubrication tasks for equipment commissioning.
Retrieve samples for oil analysis related tasks.
Perform lubrication & overall equipment troubleshooting.
What you’ll need:
High School/GED required.
Construction Craft Labourer or Mechanical Engineering Technologist Certification preferred.
Experience in a lubrication technician role preferred; experience in industrial setting preferred.
Ability to use a PC and mobile device.
Strong interpersonal ability and taking initiative to keep others informed.
Able to work in hot (+30C) and cold (-30C) conditions; lift heavy objects (20-45lbs); work alongside other trades and operations staff; quickly switch focus from routine/scheduled tasks to unforeseen/non-scheduled task; constantly analyzing tasks and providing recommendations for job task improvements.
