LTO EA Level D – Extended Day Before School – 7.5 hrs/wk Suddaby

This posting is open to WRDSB employees who are members of the EA Association as well as external applicants. Staff already in an LTO are not eligible if it conflicts with their current LTO.

All Long Term Occasional assignments are subject to a revised end date with 2‑weeks notice. Waterloo Region District School Board serves approximately 65,000 students in 123 schools.

Qualifications / Requirements
  • Must be a member of the EA / CYW association.
  • Pass a Physical Demands test.
  • Required credentials: Certified Teachers Educational Assistant Diploma or Educational Support Diploma; Developmental Service Worker; Bachelor of Social Work; Social Services Diploma.
  • Alternative EA qualifications with experience: Post‑secondary degree in Sociology plus minimum one year (1,224) hours of related work experience supporting special needs children; or minimum six‑month diploma or certificate in a child‑related discipline with same experience.
  • Assets: Valid Behaviour Management Systems certification; experience working with students with special needs and behavioural disabilities; Autism Spectrum Disorder training; Lifting/Positioning training.
  • Employees required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check issued by a Police Service before every fifth anniversary after the date of the most recent VSC; annual Offence Declaration; valid first aid and CPR certificate or registration to update training within the year.
