This is a senior management role, that oversees the strategy & roadmap of Telesat Lightspeed products and services. Telesat Lightspeed is a global telco network based on LEO (low earth orbit) satellites, launching services globally in 2027.

Role Overview

As the Head of Product & Pricing, you will lead efforts to define offerings across all our target markets (enterprise, telcos, aviation, maritime, government) and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to launch them successfully.

Your role will include identifying target market needs, coordinating new offering development with engineering, price optimally to maximize value capture and overseeing product lifecycle management. Offerings will include connectivity services, customer hardware and customer tools (Portal/APIs). Services cover Ethernet, Internet and other managed services that are common for a telecom company serving the Enterprise and Government markets.

The role will involve coordination with internal engineering and IT functions as well as external product partners. Will also involve interfacing with potential customers to evangelize our offerings and train sales/sales engineering on our product offerings.

Ideal person should have product management experience in the telecom sector and understands the underlying dependencies to launch and refine products (e.g., BSS applications, MEF and related telecom industry standards). Should also have led product teams.

  • Product Development:
  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept through market launch and overall profitability, ensuring agility and rapid iteration.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other key teams to build market‑relevant and cutting‑edge satellite telecom products and solutions.
  • Product Evangelist and Training:
  • Evangelize offerings to prospects
  • Support training of sales and sales engineers on offerings
  • Support development of customer solutions for strategic customer needs
  • Product Addendums to Contracts:
  • Work with legal team to develop appropriate documents for sales and support contracts
  • Pricing Management:
  • Oversee standard rate card for the product catalog
  • Adapt per market changes
  • Team Building and Leadership:
  • Assemble and lead a high-energy, agile product management team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

  • Experience in product management role in telecom sector serving enterprise and government markets; satcom knowledge desirable
  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • Proven ability to manage and deliver innovative product solutions in a fast‑paced, growth company setting.
  • Deep understanding of communications technology and its application to enterprise and government markets, especially in satcom context
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach.
  • Experience in market analysis, customer engagement, and agile product development.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and financial performance analysis.
