Job summary

The Home Depot in Vernon, BC is hiring a Lot Associate to help customers by loading orders into vehicles and maintaining a safe, welcoming parking lot. You will be the first and last associate customers meet, delivering friendly service in line with our GET model.

You will assist with loading, keep carts stocked, ensure safety, and follow safety procedures. The role requires 1-2 years retail experience and a high school diploma, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends in a dusty warehouse

• Follow Home Depot’s GET Model of customer service including Greeting, Engaging, and Thanking the customer.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a sufficient quantity of carts near the entrance of the store.
• When required, ask open ended questions about the customer’s projects in order to determine their needs and level of expertise.
• Approach customers to determine if they need help loading product into vehicles and/or shopping carts.
• Plan the best method of loading and securing merchandise in customer’s vehicle as per Safe Loading Training.
• Follows all Safety and Loss Prevention policies and procedures.

Position Overview:

The Lot Associate’s primary responsibility is to load orders into customer vehicles and ensuring the parking lot is safe and welcoming for the customer. Customer service and GET behaviours play a vital role in this position, as the Lot Associate is often the first and last Associate to interact with a customer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working in all weather conditions – frequent exposure to different weather conditions when loading and unloading product.
• Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes.

The pay range for this position is between $19.15 - $20.15
