We are seeking innovative, geriatric patient focused professionals to join our team! We currently have opportunities for a Continuing Care Dispensary Pharmacist. London Drugs means many things to many people. As a London Drugs Continuing Care Dispensary pharmacist, it means providing indirect patient care in a team-oriented work environment involving clinical pharmacists, regulated pharmacy technicians, assistants, doctors and nurses. A continuing-care focused dispensary that fosters professional excellence in a team setting divergent from conventional retail dispensaries. Pharmacy technicians and state-of-the-art technology are used to relieve pharmacists from routine tasks and allow them to concentrate on practicing pharmacy. You will be given the tools and opportunity to practice your profession in a well-equipped pharmacy with regular pharmacist overlap, which helps optimize patient care. Resident care is paramount. All pharmacists are committed to maintaining professionalism and innovative resident care services.
You have a desire to actively engage in therapeutic evaluation of prescriptions, monitoring patient profiles/electronic charts, clinical services support as per Alberta Pharmacy Services Framework and overseeing compounding and unit-dose packaging activities. You are interested in disease management and compliance programs as well as being involved with seminars, workshops and clinics. Shifts for a Continuing Care (Nursing Home)-dedicated pharmacist are Monday to Friday. For all positions, we offer work/life balance with minimal late evening and weekend shifts.
