Job summary

A municipal government in West Kelowna is seeking a Planner II for a two-year term. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related position.
  • Eligible for membership in the Planning Institute of British Columbia or the Canadian Institute of Planners.
  • Class 5 BC Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement housing policies and programs.
  • Coordinate with planning teams to integrate new housing policies.
  • Conduct research and prepare draft materials for planning projects.

Skills

Knowledge of local land use policies
Strong customer service skills
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office
Experience with Geographic Information Mapping Systems (GIS)

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in a planning related field
