Job summary

Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation's mining partner A2SKI Construction LP seeks an experienced, dependable Long Hole Driller for Lalor Mine in Manitoba. You will operate long hole drilling equipment safely, align with mine plans, and uphold safety, quality, and productivity standards in an underground environment.

Candidates should have at least five years in underground mining, two years long-hole drilling, and proven competency with Epiroc drills, with strong literacy, numeracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years working full-time in underground mining.
• Minimum two (2) years experience long hole drilling.
• Must be competent drilling with Epiroc drills.
• Strong literacy and numeracy with ability to complete shift reports.
• Ability to read mine drawings and drill prints.
• Willing to work a 2-weeks-on / 2-weeks-off rotation.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all site-specific and underground policies and procedures to maintain operational integrity and safety standards.
• Drilling production holes using top hammer drills.
• Check scaling and safe loading of development rounds.
• Ensure that the work area and equipment are consistently maintained in a clean, organized, and operational condition to support safety and efficiency.
• Other mine related Tasks as required.

A2SKI Construction LP is seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-focused

Long Hole Driller to join our underground mining team at Lalor Mine, Manitoba. The

successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating long hole drilling

equipment to complete production drilling activities in accordance with mine plans

while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity in an

underground mining environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRMENTS:

• Minimum five (5) years working full-time in an underground mining environment.
• Minimum two (2) years experience long hole drilling.
• Must be competent drilling with Epiroc drills.
• Demonstrates strong literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to comprehend written work instructions and accurately complete shift reports, including documentation of meters drilled and any issues encountered.
• Capable of reading and interpreting mine engineering drawings and drill prints to ensure precise execution of tasks.
• Communicates effectively when receiving or delivering verbal instructions, contributing to safe and efficient completion of assigned duties.
• Participate in daily toolbox meetings and "welcome back" sessions upon returning to site to ensure alignment with safety protocols and operational updates.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliable attendance, punctuality, and an unwavering commitment to safety. Must be willing to work a 2-weeks-on / 2-weeks-off rotational schedule.
• Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs repetitively and consistently throughout the workday.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse crews and adapt seamlessly to different team dynamics.
• Maintains a positive attitude and takes initiative as a proactive contributor to high-performing teams.
• Thrives in fast-paced environments while maintaining focus, efficiency, and safety standards.
