Job summary

A transportation company in Winnipeg is seeking three long haul truck drivers. The role offers a competitive salary of $30.50 per hour or 48 cents per mile, with full-time hours of 40-50 per week. Candidates must hold a Class 1/1F/A License and be able to perform various driving and inspection tasks. Qualifications

  • Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Must be able to perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections.

  • Drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Record cargo information and fuel consumption.
  • Complete driver logbook and trip reports.

Where: 78 Golden Boy Lane, Winnipeg, MB R3W 0L9

We are seeking 3 long haul truck drivers.

Start date as soon as possible.

Salary $30.50 / hour or 48 cents per mile, whichever is more. Full time: 40-50 hours per week.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience is an asset, but not required
  • Learning / training provided by employer
  • Class 1/1F/A License (semi-trailer trucks), Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's validity license check, Driving record check (abstract)

Must be able to:

  • Travel for extended periods
  • Drive manual transmission vehicle
    Do repetitive tasks
  • Sit for long periods
  • Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
  • Use trip recorder (on-board computer)
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Load and unload goods up to 50 lbs.
  • Must also be able to complete driver logbook, accident or incident reports, trip reports.
