Job summary

A logistics company in Manitoba is seeking 4 long haul truck drivers to operate and manage the transportation of goods. The position requires a Class 1/1F/A Licence and offers a salary of $30.25 per hour or 48 cents per mile, whichever is greater. Applicants with or without experience are welcome, and the role includes loading/unloading and vehicle inspection duties. Full-time hours expected between 40-50 per week.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence to operate semi-trailer trucks.
  • Air Brakes Endorsement is required.
  • Experience in driving is not required but is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload goods.
  • Drive trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Inspect tires, lights, brakes, and other vehicle equipment.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs.
  • Complete driver logbook and other necessary reports.

Job description

Located at 37 Cartmill Bay, West St. Paul, MB R2V 5G6 we are seeking 4 long haul truck drivers.

Start date as soon as possible.

Salary $30.25 / hour or 48 cents per mile, whichever is more. Full time: 40-50 hours per week.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience not required, but an asset.
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
Duties will include
  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Must also be able to complete driver logbook, accident or incident reports, trip reports.
