Job summary

A leading transportation company seeks 10 Long Haul Truck Drivers in Manitoba. Full-time role offering $30.25/hour or 48 cents per mile. Candidates must hold a Class 1/1F/A Licence and a secondary school certificate. Experience is an asset, and all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, including veterans and newcomers.

Qualifications

  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and Air Brakes Endorsement required.
  • Experience not required but considered an asset.
  • Driver's validity license check and driving record check required.

Responsibilities

  • Transport goods and materials safely.
  • Complete driver logbook and trip reports.
  • Oversee vehicle condition and perform inspections.

10 Long Haul Truck Drivers Wanted

Start date as soon as possible.

Salary $30.25 / hour or 48 cents per mile, whichever is more. Full time: 40-50 hours per week.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience not required, but is an asset
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract)
  • Must be able to:
    • Travel for extended periods
    • Drive manual transmission vehicle
    • Do repetitive tasks
    • Sit for long periods
    • Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
    • Use trip recorder (on-board computer)
    • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
    • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
    • Load and unload goods up to 50 lbs
    • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
    • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Must also be able to complete driver logbook, accident or incident reports, trip reports.
