Job summary

Kibbi is seeking a permanent, full-time truck driver to join our team. The role involves planning routes, loading and unloading goods, and operating both straight and tractor-trailer units across international routes.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience, a Class 1/A license with Air Brakes endorsement, and a clean driving record. The job requires flexible hours including night, day, and weekend shifts, with on-road work.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-haul trucking is required.
• Strong knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements is expected.
• Ability to plan routes and manage schedules.

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
