Job summary

A transportation company in Metro Vancouver is seeking a Driver to operate trucks and transport goods. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, vehicle inspections, and teamwork. Must possess a Class 1 or A driver's license and a secondary school graduation certificate. The position offers a permanent contract with 40 hours of work per week, predominantly in English.

Qualifications

• Experience driving commercial vehicles is an asset.
• Class 1 or A driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Inspect vehicle condition including tires and brakes.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Oversee all aspects of vehicle inspections.
• Relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information and fuel consumption.

• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
