Job summary

A transportation services provider in Alberta is seeking a full-time driver to operate and manage trucks for transporting goods. The ideal candidate will have a Class 1 or A driver's license and a secondary school graduation certificate. Responsibilities include safety inspections and ensuring the secure transport of cargo. The position is on-site with no remote work options available.

  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
