Type: Full time (Term or contract)

Schedule: 32 to 40 hours per week

Salary: $36.00 to $36.50 per hour (to be negotiated)

Start date: Starts as soon as possible

Overview

Long haul truck driver position requiring a AZ class license, route planning, vehicle maintenance, and transportation of goods on international routes.

Responsibilities
  • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment and GPS to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Load and unload goods.
  • Obtain special permits and documents required for international cargo transport.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
  • Pay and receive payments for goods.
  • Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en‑route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all vehicle aspects.
  • Perform preventive maintenance.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

License: AZ class license.

Documentation Knowledge: Accident or incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection reports (pre‑trip, en‑route, post‑trip).

Communication Systems Experience: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment.

Experience: Will be trained.
