Job summary

A transportation company in Abbotsford, BC is seeking a full-time driver. Responsibilities include planning routes, maintaining vehicles, and driving in a team. • Salary: $36.60 hourly / 40 to 50 hours per week
• Term of employment: Permanent, full-time
• Start: As soon as possible

Experience

Will train.

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Drive as part of a two‑person team or convoy.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Perform pre‑trip, en route, and post‑trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.

Credentials

• Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
• Driver's License (Class 1 or A)

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
