Logistics Office Coordinator (Cycle Counter) – Job Description

In this role you will:
  • Be responsible to receive and prepare loads for shipping in adherence to the Job Element/Work Instructions and Standards.
  • Check in drivers for pickups and deliveries in accordance with Job Element/Work Instructions and Security Standards.
  • Manage and execute yard management using DY +, including trailer seals, paperwork.
  • Be flexible with shift based on business needs – 6:30 am to 6:30 pm shift with 3/3/3 cadence; potential to 12:30 pm–1:30 am for business.
  • Operate all motorized equipment (forklift truck, shunt truck) in accordance with Job Element/Work Instructions, Safety Standards, and licensed forklift training.
  • Understand safety precautions and use of dock locks, wheel chocks, safety unload straps and Global Wheel Locks (GWL).
  • Comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements.
  • Perform cycle counts of raw materials and finished goods in compliance with Standard and Job Element/Work Instructions. Report, identify any cycle count discrepancies and reconcile as per work instructions and standard.
  • All goods shipping and receiving are visually inspected for any evidence of defect, identify, complete appropriate documentation and forms in accordance with the Job Element/Work Instructions.
  • Complete trailers, shunt truck and forklift pre‑inspection checklists as per Job Element instructions and Standards. The pre‑inspection checklists assure safe operations and verify they meet K‑C quality standards.
  • Perform operator maintenance tasks as assigned for motorized vehicles, docks, and warehouse in adherence to Job Element Instructions and Standards.
  • Utilize all systems for warehouse (Warehouse Management System), yard management (Dynamic Yard +) and ERP systems (SAP) and other systems/software applications/platforms as designated.
  • Other tasks designated by management.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of logistics experience (2+ years considered an asset).
  • Good standing Ontario‑issued driver’s license and certified forklift operator license.
  • Ability to work in a physically challenging environment with fluctuating temperatures, dust, long periods of standing, carrying up to 40 lbs, heights and confined spaces. Follow PPE requirements as designated.
  • Strong organizational, communication and time‑management skills.
  • Strong computer skills to perform daily tasks in DY+, WMS, SAP and other computer‑based systems (Schedule Pro, Poka).
  • Proficient math skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a dynamic work environment and demonstrate a safety mindset.
