Overview

Job Title : Logistics Manager

This position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee transportation, maintenance, and inventory operations within a dynamic organization. The Logistics Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are delivered efficiently to meet customer needs, while also managing substantial revenue streams within the trucking arm.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the transportation, maintenance, and inventory operations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products to customers, maintaining high standards of efficiency.
  • Manage a trucking fleet of approximately 35 trucks and coordinate with 5-150 subcontractors.
  • Handle profit and loss responsibilities, including margins, non-billable hours, and fleet utilization rates.
  • Supervise dispatchers and maintain effective communication within the industry.
  • Work with Comply Works to secure appropriate vendor pricing.
  • Maintain a balanced approach to performance management and team leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and manage insurance matters.
  • Utilize GPS management software effectively.
  • Be available for after-hours calls to provide necessary client support.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in the transportation industry.
  • Experience in profit / loss management and fleet profitability.
  • 3+ years of management experience in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of compliance, insurance, and regulatory changes.
  • Strong ownership mentality and the ability to manage people and performance fairly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Class 1 License and previous truck driving experience.
  • Safety Tickets such as GODI, H2S, and First Aid.
  • Experience working with a fleet valued at $20 million or more.
Work Environment

This is a full-time, office-based role requiring regular field visits to support Transportation and Operations Departments. The role involves standard working hours, but availability is required to address issues as they arise. The company provides all necessary IT equipment and a company vehicle for full-time use. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $150000.00 / yr.
