Job summary

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Regular part-time Driver (Material Handler) to join the Logistics team in MB-Winnipeg-William Ave. The role transports blood products and supports mobile donor events, ensuring safety and proper temperature control.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, assist with setting up booths, help donors book appointments, and handle equipment loading. A Manitoba Class 4 license with a clean abstract is required, along with driving experience and basic computer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Manitoba Class 4 driver's license with a clean commercial driver's abstract from last 30 days.
• Minimum 24 months of verifiable professional driving experience as a commercial vehicle driver within the last 3 years.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and programs.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; second language is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Transport blood products safely and in accordance with procedures; maintain correct temperatures.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and complete required documentation.
• Assist the collections team by greeting donors and helping book appointments.
• Set up systems and Wi‑Fi connections for mobile events and learn new programs.
• Load and unload equipment; set up/dismantle supplies at donor centres and on mobile events.
