Supply Chain Manager
Greater Toronto Area - Onsite
We are currently seeking a talented Supply Chain Manager to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area. Reporting directly to the Director of North American Purchasing & Planning, this position will be responsible for overseeing production planning, scheduling, purchasing, and logistics, as well as ensuring alignment across all global supply chain functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor purchasing, planning, and logistics teams to enhance skills, develop talent, and drive improved performance
- Enhance material availability, optimize scheduling, reduce shortages, and eliminate bottlenecks
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to cost, PPV, inventory turns, lead time, service levels, and supplier performance
- Forecast material requirements and develop accurate production plans based on sales demand, orders, and inventory levels
- Create and implement purchasing policies, supplier scorecards, and supplier development programs
- Collaborate with category management to drive cost savings and process enhancements
- Provide regular performance updates to senior management on capacity, schedule adherence, forecast accuracy, and more
- Manage supplier contracts, supply agreements, and relationships with third‑party logistics providers
- Ensure compliance with shipping, customs, and import / export regulations
- Lead continuous improvement efforts within purchasing and planning
- Serve as the first point of contact for escalated issues within the purchasing / planning team
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of procurement / supply chain experience in a manufacturing setting
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role
- Comprehensive background in Supply Chain including Purchasing, Planning, and Logistics
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in business, supply chain, or a related field
- Willingness to work onsite full-time, with no hybrid or remote options available
- Proficiency in ERP / MRP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Experience in sourcing niche suppliers and managing complex supply bases
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, analytical mindset, resourcefulness, and proactive approach
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Proven track record of successful cross‑functional collaboration and supplier relationship building
Preferred Qualifications
- Training in Project Management
- Certification such as APICS, SCMP, or similar
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range : $92, $, (based on experience) with potential for additional 10-30k through incentives
