Job description

Taiga Building Products in Burnaby, BC, is currently seeking a full-time Logistics Administrative Assistant for a 6-month contract position. The successful candidate will report to the Administrator and will primarily be responsible for supporting Logistics needs and functions.

The position will be reviewed after 4 months, with the potential to be converted into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities

This person would be a member of the Logistics Team with the responsibility to successfully implement Taiga’s Logistics needs and functions, including but not limited to :

  • Coordination of inbound and outbound material using in-house systems (bisTrack, live freight board and insurance database systems).
  • Follow up on the status of booked loads.
  • Staying current with industry trends that will influence the supply, demand and cost related to Taiga’s freight requirements.
  • Review and process freight and custom invoices efficiently and accurately.
  • Interact with suppliers, carriers and Taiga operations to maintain a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Liaison between Taiga’s accounts payable and truck companies’ accounts receivables.
