Job summary

The Department of Medicine at The Ottawa Hospital and University of Ottawa seeks locums in General Internal Medicine to support the Hospital@Home Program. The division comprises 30 full-time and 25 part-time GIM specialists, with teaching units and ambulatory opportunities.

Expect clinical service, teaching, and supervision of medical students and residents. Candidates must hold an MD, be eligible for Ontario licensure, and have or be eligible for Royal College certification in General Internal

Qualifications

• MD degree and eligibility for licensure in Ontario.
• Certification in General Internal Medicine by the Royal College.
• Member of or eligible for membership in CMA.
• Bilingual English/French preferred.
• Eligible for academic appointment at University of Ottawa as Lecturer.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical services, teach and supervise medical students and residents.
• Assess inpatients for suitability for the Hospital@Home Program and daily virtual visits with program patients.
• There may be opportunity for permanent full or part-time appointments in the future.
