Job summary

Nova Scotia Health in New Glasgow is seeking a Locum Family Physician to cover at Westside Health Centre from November 1, 2027 to April 1, 2028. This full-time position offers a guaranteed daily minimum income of $1,200 with additional shadow billings and travel/accommodation support.

The physician will provide comprehensive primary care, collaborate with clinic staff, and document patient details in Med Access EMR. Ideal candidates are licensed in Nova Scotia and capable of team-based care.

Responsibilities

• delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness
• work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same day access
• utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members
