Job summary

A leading rail service provider in Alberta seeks a Locomotive Operator responsible for safely operating locomotives and providing rail car switching services. The ideal candidate enjoys outdoor physical activity, works well in teams, and adheres to strict safety standards. Previous rail and industrial experience is preferred. This position requires readiness for 12-hour shifts in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform both Locomotive Operator and Switchperson roles.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must pass drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe train movements and operation of the locomotive.
• Apply Canadian Rail Operating Rules while operating.
• Complete daily reports and logs as necessary.
• Comply with operating rules and promote safety.
