Job summary

Ledcor Highways Ltd. is seeking a year-round Laborer to join our guard rail crew on Alberta\'s highways. Local candidates preferred; Class 5 drivers license and comfort with hand tools are required.

You will work outdoors in all weather, supporting maintenance and safety across road infrastructure. We offer a stable long-term career with a competitive hourly wage of 21.50 CAD plus a 3 CAD night shift premium, and benefits including extended health, dental and a pension plan.

Qualifications

• Must complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Physically able to perform demanding outdoor tasks and comfortable working at heights.
• Strong knowledge and use of hand and power tools.
• Must possess a valid Class 5 driver\'s license.
• Provide a 3-year driver\'s abstract.
• ESC Fall Protection ticket is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform various highway maintenance tasks, repair and installation of guard rails and highway signs using various hand tools including post pounders, tampers, augers, drills, ladders and other elevated work platforms.
• Assist with traffic control procedures
• Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Perform other road maintenance duties as required
• Work outside in all weather conditions
