Job summary

National Rent-All Inc in Kitchener-Waterloo is seeking experienced part-time occasional truck drivers to support our supply chain logistics team in a safe and timely manner.

The role involves transporting to customer locations, performing pre-trip inspections, planning routes, logging hours, and complying with regulations. A minimum of 5 years experience with a valid DZ license is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a truck driver.
• Ability to drive locally and full shifts as needed.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• Minimum 5 years experience and a valid DZ license.
• High level of accountability and time management.
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves to get tasks done safely and effectively.
• Clean driving abstract/CVOR.
• Professional communication with customers, colleagues and dispatch.
• Adaptability to handle unexpected situations like traffic or weather.

Responsibilities

• Transport bins to customer locations and transport loads from customers to assigned landfill.
• Complete pre-trip inspection on vehicles for mechanical/safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel receipts.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents or violations.
