Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is recruiting for an Edmonton client seeking an experienced Loader/Forklift Operator to safely handle, move, and organize heavy materials in a busy yard.

You will operate top-load forklifts and loaders (25,000–36,000 lbs), move pipe and lumber, unload containers, and stage pipes up to 40 feet long, with precise placement and secure loads.

Qualifications

• Experience operating large-capacity forklifts or loaders (25,000 lbs+).
• Experience handling pipe, lumber, or long materials.
• Grapple attachments experience is a plus.
• Outdoor year-round work in varying weather.
• Ability to perform general yard duties.
• Forklift or loader certification preferred.
• Expired certifications may be eligible for recertification.

Responsibilities

• Operate top-load forklifts and loaders (25,000–36,000 lbs) safely.
• Move pipe, lumber, and heavy materials around the yard.
• Unload containers and transfer materials to flat-deck trailers.
• Pull, move, and stage pipes up to 40 feet long using forklifts or loaders.
• Precisely place heavy materials in designated yard locations.
• Use grapples and forklift attachments to handle pipe and lumber.
• Organize materials for staging, shipping, and storage.
• Maximize yard space through efficient container unloading and material placement.
• Secure loads using chains, straps, and rigging as required.

Loader/Forklift Operator Highlights:

• Move pipe, lumber, and other heavy materials throughout the yard.

• Pull, move, and stage pipes up to 40 feet long using forklifts or loaders.
• Precisely place heavy materials in designated yard locations.
• Use grapples and forklift attachments to handle pipe and lumber.

• Maximize yard space through efficient container unloading and material placement.
• Secure loads using chains, straps, and rigging as required.

Requirements:

• Experience operating large-capacity forklifts or loaders, preferably 25,000 lbs. or greater.
• Experience handling pipe, lumber, or other long materials is required.
• Experience using grapple attachments is an asset.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
• Physical ability to perform general yard duties.
• Forklift or loader certification is preferred.
• Expired certifications may be eligible for recertification.

Hours & Wage:

• Wage: $27 per hour
