Job summary

Atlantic Poultry, Inc. in Canada is seeking a motivated entry-level worker to support daily farming tasks at our on-site facilities. No prior experience required; on-site training will be provided to learn poultry husbandry, safety, and record-keeping.

You will help with feeding, cleaning, animal care, and monitoring barn conditions, while maintaining accurate logs and following health and safety procedures in a dusty, hot, noisy poultry environment.

Responsibilities

• Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas
• Feed and tend animals
• Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
• Perform general farm duties
• Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops
• Maintain accurate records
• Vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases
• Ensure safety procedures are followed
• Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses
