A community support organization in British Columbia seeks a Live-in Home Support Worker to assist individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities. POSITION OVERVIEW
Directly supporting adults referred by Community Living of BC (CLBC) with neurodevelopmental disabilities and complex neurologically-based behaviours. Characteristics may include, but are not limited to, struggles maintaining housing upkeep, substance misuse dual diagnosis, and challenging behaviour(s) that put the individual at increased risk of criminal justice involvement.
Assess and collaboratively establish service delivery goals (ex. occupational, recreational, social, housing and financial) with those served. Where appropriate, incorporate the input of family members and other community stakeholders. Support with activities of daily living (ADL) and promoting independent life skills.
