Job summary

Scale AI, via its Outlier platform, seeks detail-oriented English speakers to review AI-generated media by roleplaying conversations with AI voice models and scoring outputs. You will compare AI-generated images and videos, and write precise explanations of issues observed to help improve model performance.

Ideal candidates communicate clearly, pay close attention to detail, and can decide between imperfect options. This is a freelance contract across multiple countries with flexible hours.

Qualifications

Fluent English with strong written communication in everyday conversation.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to replay or zoom in when something seems off.
Comfortable thinking on your feet and explaining decisions clearly.
Bachelor’s degree or higher is a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

Hold live, scenario-based conversations in English with AI voice models and rate naturalness, usefulness, and clarity.
Compare AI-generated images and videos and judge which follows the prompt better.
Inspect outputs closely to spot distortions, flicker, or mismatches and explain findings in English.
Provide writing that explains what you observed and why a decision was made.
