Job summary

Purolator in Saskatoon, SK is seeking a Linehaul Driver, Pickup & Delivery to move freight between customer locations while safely operating company vehicles and meeting service level agreements.

The role requires 3 years of Class 1 driving experience and an unblemished driving record, with English proficiency for stakeholder communication. It is a permanent, full-time position with 45 hours per week and a base hourly wage of CAD 37.16 plus a CAD 35 weekly Linehaul Float premium.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Class 1 driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive to/from customer locations and safely operate tractor-trailers and other company vehicles to pick up and deliver freight.
• Meet service level agreements and collaborate with Dispatch to resolve issues on the road.
• Scan freight during pickup and delivery, and conduct vehicle inspections (pre/post-trip).
• Load/unload freight at customer sites and assist with on-site handling when needed.

Description

The Linehaul Driver, Pickup & Delivery drives to/from customer locations and safely operates company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) to pick up and deliver freight to/from customer locations and meet service level agreements. Job requires working in shifts.

Working Hours: 45 Hours weekly

Scheduled Shift:Variable, flexible schedule as per operational requirements

Employment Contract: Permanent

Hourly Wage:$37.16 plus a $35.00/week Linehaul Float premium

Responsibilities

Drive to/from customer locations and safely operates company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) to pick up and deliver freight to/from warehouse or package depot and/or customer locations and meet service level agreements.
Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch
Pick up, deliver, and load/unload freight at customer locations
Scan freight upon pickup and delivery
Conduct vehicle inspections (tractor - 20-minute pre-trip, 15-minute post-trip; trailer – 15-minute pre-trip per trailer)

Experience

Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record
3 years of Class 1 driving experience
