Job summary

Cineplex Entertainment LP is seeking Hourly Line Cooks to join our kitchen team in Canada. The role involves daily food preparation in various stations, following recipes and portion controls, and maintaining stock levels.

You will also ensure cleanliness and comply with health and safety guidelines to deliver consistent meals. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and experience in a similar environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a similar environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and proper handling is required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts.
• Professional food services management diploma is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Daily setup and preparation of food items in pantry, fry, or stations.
• Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications.
• Restock items throughout the shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and storage areas.
• Follow health, safety, and hazardous materials regulations.

What you will do

Our Hourly Line Cooks are an integral part of the team who provide an exceptional dining experience to each and every guest. Hourly Line Cooks have a range of responsibilities in the kitchen including strict adherence to health and safety guidelines, maintaining food stock levels throughout the day, and preparing meals consistent with company standards. If you thrive in an energetic, fast-paced and social atmosphere, this may be the opportunity for you!

• Daily set-up and preparation of food items in the pantry, fry and/or stations or other areas of the kitchen.
• Following recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as instructed.
• Restocking all items throughout the shift.
• Cleaning, sanitizing, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
• Adhering to all regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials and fire safety.
• Performing additional responsibilities as requested by the chef or sous chef.

Qualifications

• You have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• You have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• You have experience in a similar environment.
• You have knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation and principles of safe food handling.
• You have schedule flexibility to work extended hours as required.
• A professional diploma or food services management is an asset but not required.
