Qualifications

We are currently searching for Line Cooks to join our team. We are looking for a casual line cook to work across all of our 5 locations!

Position Summary:

Line Cooks are responsible for preparing high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary, and consistent manner. Must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, maintaining organizational skills to identify and act on job duties quickly and effectively. All line cooks must work as part of a team, follow safety procedures, and have a high tolerance for heat in a kitchen setting.

What You Bring to the Role:
  • Two (2) years’ experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Formal culinary training (asset)
  • Experience cooking for seniors (asset)
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, WHMIS, Food Safety
  • Basic food safety knowledge
  • Flexibility and interpersonal skills for a diverse environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Proper equipment use and maintenance knowledge

Your Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook all food (hot and cold) as directed, maintaining sanitation and timeliness
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards
  • Keep station clean and organized, adhering to safety and sanitation standards
  • Prepare dishes accommodating food allergies or intolerances
  • Ensure timely meal preparation
  • Prepare correct quantities to meet daily needs
  • Store, label, and rotate food to ensure freshness and minimize waste
