Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) is seeking a Light Equipment Operator (Seasonal) to support Montréal–Trudeau Airport’s winter maintenance program. You will operate diverse equipment and vehicles to keep runways, taxiways, and grounds clear and safe.

Qualifications

18-week winter season, with a guaranteed 720-hours bank:

Period 1: November 16th 2026 to March 21st 2027.

Period 2: December 14th 2026 to April 17th 2027.

SUMMARY

As part of the operations at Montréal–Trudeau International Airport, the position holder must efficiently operate a variety of equipment and vehicles required to carry out the work program of their section, in order to ensure the maintenance of runways, taxiways, grounds, fences, etc.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate various equipment, tools, and vehicles required for winter maintenance of the grounds at Montréal–Trudeau International Airport.
• Participate in snow removal and clearing operations and ice control.
• Assist in preparing various repair and maintenance work on surfaces such as concrete, asphalt, and gravel roads.
• Perform the work required for the installation, repair, and maintenance of airport signs and fences.
• Perform any other duties related to the position.

REQUIREMENTS

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have a minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience relevant to the position.
• Be proficient in spoken and written French.
• Hold a valid Class 3 driver’s licence.
• Have a civil status certificate and, if available, a valid passport.
• Successfully pass the security screening required to obtain a Restricted Area Pass.
• Successfully complete the tests required to obtain an AVOP Type D airport vehicle operator permit and a Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Certificate within sixty (60) days of obtaining the position.
• Be able to efficiently operate vehicles such as trucks, spreaders, farm tractors, etc.
• Have knowledge of the health, safety, and environmental standards in effect at the airport.
• Contribute to achieving the group’s objectives by demonstrating collaboration and respect.
• Have good communication skills and be able to communicate, disseminate, and explain information and details related to the work.
• Be available to work shifts.
