GDI Services (Canada) LP is seeking a reliable light duty cleaner to perform floor cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, washroom and kitchenette sanitizing, and garbage/recycling disposal in assigned buildings. This part-time role requires following directions, working with minimal supervision, strong attention to detail, and teamwork; experience with auto-scrubbers is an asset.

• Empty trash and recycling; replace liners; transport to collection points.
• Ensure washrooms and kitchens are cleaned and sanitized; polish fixtures.
• Replenish consumables (toilet paper, towels, soap, sanitizer).
• Spot clean walls and doors; keep surfaces clean.
• Clean elevator(s) as applicable; check for defects.
• Perform high dusting and wall washing.
• Other duties as required.

General Description: A light duty cleaner is generally responsible for cleaning tasks including, but not limited to, hard surface floor cleaning, carpeted area vacuuming, dusting, cleaning washrooms and kitchenettes, and the collection of garbage and recycling.

Schedule: Part Time

Responsibilities

• Cultivate a culture that promotes inclusion, innovation, productivity, and collaboration.
• Build strong relationships, listen intently, and utilize clear & transparent communication.
• Participate in all training as required.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations as outlined by the Company.
• Sweep/dry mop, and wash/buff floors and stairwells utilizing manual and power scrubbing equipment as applicable.
• Vacuum carpets and matting in offices and common areas. Spot clean daily and shampoo rugs in assigned buildings.
• Maintain and carry out preventative maintenance procedures on floor machines, vacuums, automatic scrubbers and buffers.
• Empty garbage and recycling containers, replace liners, and transport garbage/recycling to collection points.
• Ensure washrooms and kitchens/kitchenettes are fully cleaned including clean/disinfect and polish fixtures and appliances as applicable, door handles, walls, mirrors, countertops, partitions, waste receptacles and floors.
• Replenish supply of consumables such as toilet paper, hand towels, soap, sanitizer, etc.
• Spot clean walls, doors, kick plates, etc. removing marks and smudges from vertical surfaces.
• Clean elevator(s) as applicable.
• Monitors possible defects such as clogged urinals and lights out.
• High dusting and wall washing.
• Additional duties as required.
