Job summary

COMPASS GROUP CANADA is hiring a Light Duty Cleaner to perform general custodial duties in assigned areas, including dusting, mopping, cleaning washrooms, restocking soap and tissue, and operating cleaning equipment such as I-mop and vacuum.

Ideal candidates are reliable, able to communicate clearly in writing and speech, team players, physically capable, and willing to follow health and safety policies; TB test and VSS are required.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is an asset.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and speaking.
• Reliable, motivated, enthusiastic and a team player.
• Able to operate cleaning equipment such as I-mop and vacuum.
• Physically capable of performing duties.
• Must have VSS and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Perform general custodial duties in assigned areas, including dusting, mopping, and waste removal.
• Restock dispensers for soap, towels, toilet tissue and sanitary napkins.
• Conduct periodic equipment checks and ensure cleaning supplies are stocked.

Job description

How you will make an impact:

You will be responsible for cleaning tasks in designated areas of a building, including dusting, mopping, cleaning washroom fixtures, spot cleaning, emptying, and cleaning ashtrays and vacuuming carpets.

As a Light Duty Cleaner, you will:

• Perform general custodial requirements and any related duties as assigned (duties include but are not limited to use of various cleaning equipment, vacuuming, spot cleaning, sweeping, mopping floors, emptying waste receptacles and other common areas)
• Restock single unit dispensers containing soap, towels, toilet tissue and sanitary napkins
• Complete periodic equipment checks
• Observe/practice all health & safety procedures and policies

About you:

• Previous cleaning experience is an asset
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Must be reliable, motivated, enthusiastic and a team player, willing to assist as needed
• Must be able to use cleaning equipment (ie. I-mop, vacuum.)
• Physically able to carry out duties of the position
• Must have VSS and TB test
