Job summary

FirstService Residential Canada is seeking a Light Duty Cleaner to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness at a Burlington property. Shift is Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM, at the Burlington, ON site, with compensation of CAD 18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include restroom cleaning, floor care, waste disposal, and reporting repairs or hazards. Basic knowledge of janitorial methods and safety regulations is required. Training and a supportive team environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard janitorial methods, practices, tools, and equipment.
• Knowledge of proper use of cleaning chemicals, fertilizers, and pesticides.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to operate janitorial tools and equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules.
• Knowledge of building and property security procedures.
• Ability to explain instructions clearly to others.
• Ability to prioritize work among team members.

Description

As a Light Duty Cleaner, you’ll be responsible for consistently maintaining the cleanliness of all interior and exterior areas of the property to ensure owner and guest satisfaction.

Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday: 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM

Site Location: Burlington, ON

Compensation: $ 18.00/ hour

Your Responsibilities

• Cleans and services restrooms.
• Sweeps, vacuums, and mops floors and stairways.
• Gathers and disposes of rubbish and waste materials by hand or with the use of powered equipment.
• Observes appearances and conditions of premises and equipment; reports needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services.
• Dusts such items as blinds, furniture, file cabinets, door, frames, railing picture frames and windowsills using treated dust mittens, cloths, or hand-cleaning items.
• Polishes furniture, metal work, and chrome using appropriate cleaning and polishing compounds.
• Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, mirror, and fixtures using both step and extension ladders.
• Cleans grounds and parking lots of litter, glass, or other debris.
• Performs related work as assigned. Functions and duties are subject to change upon management discretion.
