Job summary

MoxiWorks is looking for an experienced backend engineer to reinforce our Ruby on Rails platform across a full lifecycle role. You will design scalable architectures, own APIs, data models, and modernization efforts while mentoring teammates and driving engineering excellence.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering in an Agile environment, leveraging AWS, Datadog, and AI-enabled tooling to deliver impact across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong system design and software architecture experience.
• Experience designing APIs, database schemas, and complex backend systems.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive initiatives from idea through implementation.
• Excellent code review, mentoring, and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Experience with Scrum/Agile environments.
• Experience with AWS and Datadog.
• AI fluency and leadership in AI-assisted development.

Annual Salary Range: $140,000 CAD - $150,000 CAD

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys tackling complex architecture, mentoring others, and driving technical excellence.
