Job description
Company Description

We are S&R Group and for over 60 years we have been building communities "where friendships flourish and life is enriched". We are looking for people who, like us, believe the work we do has a positive impact on their community and that together we can continue supporting our Residents and their families.

Job Description

Our Life Enrichment teams plan, coordinate, and produce programming that delivers the 5 domains of care (Physical, Cognitive, Social, Emotional, and Spiritual). Imagine it’s an average weekday and your Grandma calls you to tell you she’s about to do something fun—but what could it be? Is she joining a drumming circle outside at the vegetable garden? Is she going to have a Bob Ross night with her friends? Is there a black-tie gala coming up that evening? Be a part of the innovative team that creates memories like this!

If you were working for us as a Life Enrichment Worker, here are some of the things you would have done last week:

  • Planned, led, and assisted with group programs, one-to-one activities, and special events that brought joy and meaning to Residents
  • Assessed Residents’ recreation, leisure, therapeutic, and restorative care needs, and developed individualized care plans to support their well-being
  • Supported Residents in getting to and from programs so they could fully participate
  • Completed documentation, care plans, and MDS coding accurately and on time, following policies and procedures
  • Continued therapy programs as directed by therapists to promote Residents’ mobility, independence, and quality of life
  • Helped create a welcoming environment through seasonal decorating and maintaining program supplies and equipment
  • Provided guidance and support to volunteers and students engaged in life enrichment activities
  • Participated in team meetings, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives, sharing insights to enhance Resident care
  • Worked flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, to ensure Residents had opportunities for meaningful engagement every day
  • And supported your team as needed.

When you apply, if you have your credentials, we will try our best to reach out to you within the week (hopefully within a few days). When you’re eligible with us for benefits, you can expect a variety of them:

  • Flexibility in shift scheduling to support your home life
  • When eligible, you can enjoy full range of extended Health benefits
  • Pension/RRSP matching
  • And many Company Events like our annual recognition parties, team theme parties, lunches, outings, gift cards, and paid days off

We prioritize promoting from within and support our employees' educational needs because we care for the team we have put together. We come to our workplace each day understanding that we are entering our Residents' Home, and we are there to support them. While we don't take ourselves seriously, we take our jobs seriously and love to have fun with each other and the Residents!
