Shepherd’s Care Foundation invites applications for a Casual Life Enrichment Assistant in Rocky View County, AB. The role supports the Recreation Therapist in creating and delivering therapeutic recreation programs with emphasis on safety and resident choice, aligning with the organization’s mission.

Annualized compensation is presented as an hourly rate of $19.74 CAD. Candidates may be enrolled in or graduated from a Therapeutic Recreation program and should have strong English communication

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or graduated from a Therapeutic Recreation program.
• Read, write, and speak English effectively.
• Education credentials with health care related fields will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of therapeutic recreational programming and interventions.
• Focus on resident safety and resident choice in accordance with the plan of care.
• Report to the Recreation Therapist and support program delivery.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Recreation Therapist, the Life Enrichment Assistant assists in the development and implementation of therapeutic recreational programming and interventions with a focus on resident safety and choice in accordance with the president’s plan of care.

Employment Type: Casual

Hourly Rate of Pay: $19.74

Location: 300 Prince of Peace Way Rocky View County, AB

Consider applying if you are currently enrolled in or have graduated from a Therapeutic Recreation program, have demonstrated skills in gerontology/recreation therapy; can read, write, and speak English effectively; and have strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Education credentials with health care related fields will also be considered.
