Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority in Altona is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (0.5 FTE) to join the Acute/Nursing unit at the Altona Community Memorial Health Centre. The role requires active CLPNM registration, standard certifications, and ability to travel to regional facilities as needed.

The successful candidate will work in a community-focused health-care environment with in-person employment and a 7.75 to 11.65 hour daily schedule as part of a 0.5 FTE arrangement.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Provincial Emergency Department Orientation or equivalent.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Current active registration with the College of License Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute, Transitional, PCH, Primary Care, Public Health‑Healthy Living, Home Care, Oncology/Cancer Care).
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Current Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) certification.
  • Trauma Nursing Care Course (TNCC) certification.
  • Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.

  • May work days, evenings, nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Will be required to travel to other regional facilities as the position duties may require.
