A regional health service provider in Calgary is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver holistic care in acute settings. Key responsibilities include utilizing nursing processes and teamwork to ensure quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have completed a practical nurse education program and possess relevant certifications, alongside recent acute care experience. This part-time position offers a structured schedule with a competitive salary range from $27.58 to $36.13 per hour.
In collaboration with a strong multi-disciplinary health care team, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides comprehensive holistic care to the stable poly-trauma and general surgical patients in the acute care phase.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
2 years of recent acute care surgical nursing experience. Demonstrated commitment to collaborative practice. Excellent written and verbal communication practices. Experience with SCM, NetCare & R-ESP required.
Current It's Your Move certification preferred. Non-Violent Crises Intervention certificate.
