A leading healthcare provider in British Columbia is seeking a Relief Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse to join their Medical Day Care team in Surrey. The role includes assessing and documenting nursing care, assisting with patient admissions, and monitoring patients during procedures. Candidates must have completed a Practical Nurse program, be registered with BCCNM, and possess current basic cardiac life support certification.
Salary The salary range for this position is CAD $32.84 - $44.96 / hour.
Job Summary We are currently hiring for a Relief Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Medical Day Care team at Jim Pattison Outpatient Care & Surgery Centre located in Surrey, B.C. This position is available until approximately October 2026 or until the return of the incumbent.

Under the direction of the Manager, Clinical Operations or designate, and as a member of an interdisciplinary team, performs practical nursing duties in a general daycare environment. Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care for patients undergoing Minor Procedures, IV Therapy, Home IV, Enterostomal Therapy, Wound Care and other outpatient procedures/consultations. Assists with the admission of patients to procedure/consultation rooms and performs intra-procedure/consultation duties in accordance with established standards and protocols. Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Education and Experience
Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses with the full range of current licensed practical nursing competencies, plus one (1) year's recent, related experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse in acute care, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Current basic cardiac life support certification.
