Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse I to join the incenter hemodialysis team at Charles S Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony.

This temporary call-in position supports the Labrador Grenfell Zone, with day and weekend shifts as required. The LPN will work as an active member of the nursing team, delivering high-standard nursing care, maintaining professional practice, and reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Formación

• Graduation from an approved diploma level Licensed Practical Nurse program.
• Current licensure from the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CLPNNL).
• 1 year current acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Incenter Hemodialysis Education or willingness to obtain (within time frame designated by the employer).
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (CPR).
• The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct.

Responsabilidades

• Organizes, plans, implements and evaluates the plan of care for assigned clients.
• Maintains competency in technological and clinical skills to provide incenter hemodialysis in a satellite unit.
• Maintains equipment and supplies.
• Works with individuals and colleagues in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating client-focused care in hemodialysis and ambulatory care programs.
• Documents as per professional and organizational standards.
• Other related duties, as required.

About Us:

The primary purpose of this position is to work as an active member of the nursing team to provide a high standard of practical nursing care to patients in the hemodialysis unit at Charles S Curtis Memorial Hospital. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN ) is responsible for maintaining professional and organizational standards and practice in accordance with the NLHS Model of Nursing Clinical Practice and reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an approved diploma level Licensed Practical Nurse program;
• Current licensure from the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CLPNNL);
