Job summary

St. Michael’s Health Group invites a compassionate Casual Licensed Practical Nurse to join our resident care team at the Long Term Care Centre, Edmonton, AB. Shifts include days and evenings: 7am–3:15pm or 7am–1:30pm; 3pm–11:15pm or 3pm–10:30pm, based on staffing needs.

You will perform LPN nursing duties, support resident care, and administer medications under supervision, contributing to a respectful, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate from a recognized Practical Nurse Program.
• Valid license with the C.L.H.A.
• Valid CPR Health Care Provider certification.
• At least one year of recent nursing experience.
• Experience in a long term care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing procedures within LPN scope and in accordance with resident care programs, policies and procedures.
• Provides ancillary support in the provision of quality resident care.
• Administers medications as directed by the Case Manager/Staff Nurse in Charge, following established procedures and standards.

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Casual LPN to join our resident care team based out of our Long Term Care Centre at 7404 - 139 Ave NW, Edmonton, Alberta. Hours of work can be:

Days: 7am - 3:15pm or 7am - 1:30pm

Evenings: 3pm - 11:15pm or 3pm - 10:30pm

The Licensed Practical Nurse performs:

• basic nursing procedures and provides treatments within the scope of Licensed Practical Nurse training and in accordance with established Resident Care programs, policies and procedures
• provides ancillary support in the provision of quality resident care
• administers medications in accordance with established procedures, legislative standards and as directed by the Case Manager/Staff Nurse Designated in Charge
