Job summary

Covenant Health Canada seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse at Bonnyville Health Centre to provide holistic, high-quality patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will lead with autonomy, work to the full scope of practice, and align with our mission, vision and policies.

The role is covered by AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Collective Agreement with a 0.55 FTE and shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends. Active LPN registration and BLS Level C are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required.
• Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA).
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the LPN in providing safe, quality care and collaborate with the multidisciplinary health care team.
• Deliver holistic care within full scope of practice in accordance with Covenant Health standards.
• Participate in shift rotations including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN must be able to team lead effectively on their own. The LPN works to the full scope of practice in providing safe, quality care in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Collective Agreement.
