A regional health service provider seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Tofield, Alberta. This part-time temporary position (0.60 FTE) involves providing quality patient and family centered care within a supportive healthcare team. Tofield located 68 km east of Edmonton has a population of 2,000 and offers a complete range of services; has a friendly small-town atmosphere and is an attractive place to raise a family. Tofield is an active community with excellent amenities for all ages and lifestyles. This position is in the Continuing Care (long term care) side of the Tofield Health Center.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
As Required.
Minimum one year’s Long Term Care nursing experience. Experience with Connect Care and general computer skills. CTAS preferred.
